Commonwealth Games – free

Here in Birmingham we have one of the world’s biggest sporting events on our doorstep. Tickets are still available for events here. Did you know there are also loads of things for free? 

The Games Baton has been around the world and will be travelling throughout the Midlands this week including Chelmsley Wood and Solihull on Tuesday 26th July followed by celebration event in Jubilee Gardens from 18.45PM, Northfield and Birmingham city centre on Wednesday 27th, Sutton Coldfield and Aston on 28th plus celebration event at 12.30PM in Pype Hayes Park.

There are five events involving public roads and parks, parts of the routes are accessible for free: Marathon in Birmingham, Cycling Road Race in Warwick, Cycling Time Trial in Wolverhampton, Triathlon in Sutton Park, Cycling Mountain Bike in Cannock Chase
